Displacement of an electric guitar string when vibrating?
Question:
I would like to know the distance between the tip and trough of the same antinode on an electric guitar string.
My estimate is around 0.001m, but i'm really not sure!

When you are an absolute beginner in guitar lessons, everything seems extremely overwhelming. Learning to play any instrument is overwhelming when you first pick it up. Learning rhythm, scales, notes, strumming and all the rest that goes along with it. All the chords and graphs are a lot to take in when you don't know where to start. Just looking at your guitar, you probably don't even know all the names of the parts or even which strings play what chords. There is a lot to learn and absorbing it all is difficult and time consuming. With an instructor, you can get the basics and they can help you with fingering, strumming and anything else that you may be lacking in. Remember that practice makes perfect and the more you work at it the better you will be.
There are many places online that you can get free lessons as well. Most of these lessons are video lessons which can be helpful if you are a slow learner. When taking lessons online, you can slow them down, stop or replay as many times as you like, one of the best parts is that you don't have anyone there to tell you that you are doing it wrong. There isn't anything that you can't learn about the guitar from taking lessons online. They have all the information to tell you about stringing your guitar, how to repair your guitar, and even all of your lessons. Some of these places will even have the sheet music to play along with so that you can learn while you are on the road or sitting in the next room. Most will even show you how to read the sheet music too.
The possibilities are endless when you are an absolute beginner in guitar lessons. You are a clean slate and you can learn from the very beginning to be the best possible.
